Purpose: To provide a framework in two stages to enable participants to provide support and care for people.
Objectives: At the end of the programme, candidates will be able to support clients by effective communication, which respects a clients individuality and beliefs, enable clients to maintain personal hygiene, nutritional balance and a safe environment. The understanding of the client’s needs to socialise, exercise and promote their independence. This qualification also deals with the issues arising from abuse, aggressive clients, distress and terminal illness.
