Millennium Nurses Ltd. will arrange high quality care in your home through its selected and trained agency Carers. Our agency will support you in your own home with domiciliary care for as long as you wish to stay there.

We recognize your rights as a person to:

  • Dignity
  • Privacy
  • Freedom of choice.
  • Control over what happens in your own home.

We aim to ensure that any work undertaken in your home will be:

  • Agreed by yourself.
  • Undertaken in a friendly yet professional and efficient manner.
  • Changed at your request.
  • In emergency circumstances where a Carer or nurse is obliged to cancel a shift at short notice, e.g. sickness, you will be notified. Millennium Nurses Ltd. assures you that every attempt will be made to find an alternative Carer or nurse as soon as possible.

Millennium Nurses believes you have a right to:

  • Choose the service you want.
  • Be involved in a full assessment of your needs.
  • Receive the highest quality of care, courtesy and professionalism.
  • Expect that all Millennium Nurses Ltd. staffs are properly vetted before being introduced to our clients.

In return, Millennium Nurses Ltd. asks you to:

  • Treat our staff with respect.
  • Settle your account within the terms of your contract.
  • Tell us if you are unhappy with any aspect of the service received.

Privacy & Confidentiality Policy

Privacy and confidentiality is essential for providing quality service and in the day-to-day running of Millennium Nurses. Staff and clients have a right to:

  • Express themselves in confidence to staff and other persons, without fear that their personal thoughts, feelings or opinions will become gossip.
  • Seek the companionship of another person without having the relationship discussed between others.
  • Have his or her personal details personal and not disclosed to anyone who does not have the right or need to be informed.
  • Express themselves without fear of discrimination.
  • Maintain their privacy and control information and decisions themselves.

Confidentiality and privacy are expected from all personnel at all times. Failure to act in a manner that promotes confidentiality may result in disciplinary action being initiated against any member of staff. Confidentiality and privacy are important in maintaining the integrity and image of the Agency. The breaking of confidence and privacy is destructive, destroys trust, security, and faith in both the individual and the Agency.

There are occasions when confidentiality and privacy may be justifiably broken. These may include the following:

  • Where a client is contemplating actions or taking risks that place themselves or others at risk of personal or psychological injury.
  • Where it is known that the action of a member of staff or other person may place any client or member of staff at risk of physical or psychological injury.
  • Where a member of staff or a client feels that a confidence or privacy needs to be broken, they should discuss the situation with a senior member of agency.

The Manager of Millennium Nurses will deal with breaches of confidentiality and privacy by a member of staff.

Security of Records

Security and protection of our office records (containing Millennium Nurses Ltd. in-house documentations, client and carer information) is of top priority. All the information of the clients and carers are kept in locked cabinets and the office is protected by an alarm system. All of our computers are password-protected to prevent unauthorised access and we regularly take backups of our server in case of emergency.
