Recruitment Criteria
All our staff are vetted and carefully selected for their caring and professional approach. You can therefore feel secure that everyone provided by Millennium Nurses Ltd. is carefully screened before coming into your home or establishment. The following procedure is observed:
1. The candidate completes a detailed application form and a criminal conviction declaration form.
2. The candidate is formally interviewed by the Agency.
3. Identity documentation is checked.
4. Two work references are obtained.
5. Qualifications are verified.
6. Medical screening via the application form and a declaration form will be signed.
7. An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check must be done through our company (including the POVA and POCA).
Prospective nurses are also required to provide their statement of entry to the NMC register and NMC PIN card to confirm the registration period.
All Millennium Nurses staff is issued with a copy of our policy & procedure guidelines.
To ensure the candidate has seen and understood these guidelines, they are asked to sign the Code of Conduct declaration within the application form and the confidentiality agreement, a copy of which is given to the applicant. Staffs are required to read and sign the Terms and Conditions of temporary employment with Millennium Nurses Ltd.
Training Policy Statement
In order to maintain our standards and the quality of service we provide, Millennium Nurses Ltd. is committed to the continued development of all front-line Nursing and Health Care Personnel. This commitment is demonstrated by:
1. The encouragement of staff to undertake their own professional development route. Credit is given in pay scales for acquiring any appropriate further qualifications.
2. In-house training and development to address issues relevant to staff and client needs.
3. Consulting contracting organisations as to the level and type of qualification and training required.
4. The assignment of a key person to represent staff priorities in training and monitoring the effectiveness of such training.
Certificate in Adult Care
The agency’s training programme focuses on the care and client’s required standards, and provides Health Care Assistants with the best possible preparation for accepting assignments.
